US President Donald Trump said last week that the government could impose a tariff up to 300 percent on semiconductors. Tariffs would be very deleterious to the global semiconductor ecosystem, said Stephen Ezell, vice-president for global innovation policy at the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation.
